When I set out on my road to put my music out into the world, it was a very brave step for me, especially putting my feet into the Blues World of the USA with my own particular style of blues the way I create it and hear it.
Many people told me that it was an impossible task for me to achieve any presence, chart rankings or popularity with my music; I persevered. I totally believe in my own music and the way I produce it: I don't copy or sample or cover other people's work; I work hard to produce the sound I first heard in my head when each particular song was conceived and it has been a mountain to climb rather than a learning curve in terms of understanding the intracies of recorded sound.
I'm old fashioned: I write my music down on manuscript paper; I record a real piano and real drums and everything else as authentically as I can; I usually only have one take of my vocal: I don't 'tweak' my voice nor my piano performance.
I'm not saying this is the right way to do things, merely that it is MY way of doing things and so many people out there have responded to whatever it is I manage to capture within the recordings of my own creativity.
So I am extremely proud of myself; I hung in there and believed and kept going and did it ALL myself.
And here I am with my first album, In The Making, self produced and marketed in my own way by me - here I am with it at #6 in the RootsMusicReport Blues Chart amongst such blues greats as Janis, Clapton, Tedeschi, etc......getting enough airplay to get me to these lofty heights.
It may not seem a huge thing to many people but to me it is immense; and I thank all those lovely people out there in internet radio land who helped me get there by playing the tracks from this album.

Music is indeed my life -
and it just got that bit better!
